Today we started preparing the christmas presentations. We have had 2 hours of class to work in groups and tomorrow we will have the two hours listening to our teacher explaining theory.
The activity we did today is to make a christmas tree in wich all the children in class are going to participate. For this we used hand paint and a big piece of paper.
First we started by mixing diffrent colours to get more variety of tone and for the tree to look more realistic.
Then we began drawing the trunk with brown paint and giving to it some details with a black marker and later Teresa, Ines, Mari Cruz, Eva and I put our hand in green paint to put them on the paper simulating the leaves of the tree, in this way we placed the form the bottom to the top in the shape of a tringle.
Finally, we gave somo last details to the tree between Teresa, Ines and I putting our figer prints with paint of diffrents colours around the tree simulating christmas ligts.

Today we have dedicated one hour of the two hours of class to theory, but Cristina finished earlier than we expected so we were able to work the other hour.
Today we have been deciding the general activity that we are going to represnt and the ones that we will do during the week. After a long process of discussions and contraries opinions we reached an agreement.
We have decided that we are going to make a giant puzzle in which the Christmas vocabulary seen during the week, colours, numbers, parts of the body, etc will be represented with images.

Today we find a big problem with the activity, we cannot find boxes that are square, we only find boxes with irregular shapes or rectangular, but we like a lot our idea so we decided that even if it was more work, we will make them with our hands.
For this we will need to make the faces us, so we will need lots of materials, like glue, scissors, and a lot of time. So Mari Cruz, Eva, Teresa and I began to do calculations to find out how many cubes and how many faces we should make and to take measures so that they were all equal and symmetrical.

Today we began cutting out the faces an gluing them to form the boxes. We began to work like ants, so that at the end of the two hours we had almost a half of the boxes done.
Seeing that this took to us a lot of time, we took some boxes home to finish them, this way the following week we can start wrapping them with diffrent colours.

Today Teresa, Eva, Mari Cruz and I have continued making boxes and gluing and we finally managed to finish all of them.
I was in charge of cutting the faces but i had to make a change and start gluing since there was a small accident with the cutter.
The cardboard was very hard and it was very difficult to cut it, so I accidentally cut my fingernail. We thought that if we said something to Cristina, she would get angry and take our cutters away, so I had to sacrifice myself for the team and keep my tears for another moment.

Today Inés has returned. Last week she had a very sick throat and couldn't come to class.
What we had to do is to line all the sides of the cardboard boxes (which are the pieces of the puzzle) with white paper, and then line each side with different colours. Each side will have a different colour because we are going to make 6 different drawings (so 6 different puzzles), one for each side of the pieces and each puzzle will have a different coloured background to make it easier for the children to do it.

We already have three boxes finished and the rest of them are in process. We have continued with the same as yesterday, cutting out pieces of paper and sticking them in the boxes.
Monday 28th of November 2022
We took advantage of some classes in which we had nothing to do to glue the figures to the boxes.
This has been a job in which we have been able to gather a wide variety of resources to work on English and Christmas for the future and, of course, we have acquired skills and competencies for early childhood education.
